New Cali4nia Season Pass Provides Unrestricted Access to Mammoth Mountain, Bear Mountain, Snow Summit and June Mountain
Mammoth Lakes, Calif. – California’s ski/snowboard season is less than two months away and there’s already major news coming out of the mountains. Officials at Mammoth Mountain and Bear Mountain/ Snow Summit today announced a new joint pass, the Cali4nia Pass, that will provide unrestricted, season-long access to Mammoth Mountain, Bear Mountain, Snow Summit and June Mountains.
“This is all about providing the best value we can to California skiers and snowboarders,” said Rusty Gregory, CEO of Mammoth Mountain. “The Cali4nia Pass cuts through the clutter. It is far and away the best product for California skiers and riders as it allows you to ski when you want and where you want,” said Gregory.

“This new pass will offer Southern California skiers and snowboarders the best of both worlds; the convenience of Big Bear, plus the big-mountain experience of Mammoth,” says Chris Riddle VP of Marketing at Big Bear Mountain Resorts. “We are extremely happy to announce this unprecedented partnership which will provide a versatile Season Pass option that will first be available at Hot Dawgz and Hand Rails, our winter kickoff party at Bear Mountain on September 27.”
The pass will go on sale Sept. 27 at a preseason price of $689 for a limited time. Mammoth MVP pass holders who’ve already renewed for the upcoming season will automatically be upgraded. Current Bear Mountain/Snow Summit 2014-15 winter pass holders will have the opportunity to upgrade to the new Cali4nia Pass.
In addition to lift access, Cali4nia Pass holders will receive lodging, equipment rental and food discounts at the respective resorts. The $689 price is for adults (age 19-64). Earlier today, Mammoth Resorts, LLC announced that it has entered into an agreement to acquire Big Bear Mountain Resorts. Big Bear Mountain Resorts includes both Bear Mountain and Snow Summit, the largest and most popular of southern California’s ski and snowboard resorts that host nearly 800,000 winter visits annually. Mammoth Resorts, LLC is affiliated with Mammoth Mountain and June Mountain resorts, located in the Eastern Sierra.
The combination of these four iconic California mountain resorts creates diverse and unique offerings of both summer and winter experiences for day trips, weekend getaways and extended vacations. Closing is subject to certain conditions, including Big Bear Mountain Resort shareholder approval and transfer of the U.S. Forest Service Permit that permits operations on nearly 1,500 acres of the San Bernardino National Forest.
