Aspen Mountain extends 2014 season into May press release:

Aspen/Snowmass, Colo., April 3, 2014 – Aspen Skiing Company announced today that Aspen Mountain will extend the season and reopen for the weekends of April 26-27 and May 3-4. The mountain will open with as much terrain as conditions allow. Hours of operation will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Silver Queen Gondola, Ajax Express, FIS and Ruthie’s Chairs will run and the Sundeck will fire up the grill on the deck.

Aspen/Snowmass has received more than 300 inches of snow this season and base depths are at their deepest of the season right now.

“We figured since we opened early we might as well stay open late,” said Rich Burkley, vice president mountain operations, Aspen Skiing Company. “Conditions are just too good not to go skiing.”

Lift ticket pricing has yet to be determined. All Aspen/Snowmass season passes are valid as they are during the regular season. Discounted extension pricing applies for Double Flex, Flex and Classic Passholders. Additional details and pricing will be announced later.
