RIDE Snowboards, a proven leader in the industry for more than 20 years, welcomes prolific snowboarder Jake Welch to its Pro Team. A Sandy, Utah native who cut his teeth as a snowboarder at local Brighton Resort, Welch is a dynamic rider and well-rounded individual. His riding speaks for itself, and his versatility on-and-off the snow is an asset that compliments the rest of RIDE’s Pro Team.

“Jake is the perfect fit to the new RIDE brand. He is one of the most versatile, hard working, humble, badass snowboarders on the planet,” said Sean Tedore, global brand director at RIDE. “He has insane style and isn’t scared to step to anything. I look forward to working with Jake for many years to come.”

Welch’s soft-spoken demeanor can be deceiving, because on the snow he brings the noise. Not one to shy away from challenges and gnarly lines, Welch’s fluidity and style make him a standout shredder from the park and pipe to the backcountry. Snowboarding is life for Welch and he’s paid his dues, putting together full video parts for many major film projects. After the ultimate rebound from a series of life changing circumstances, this past winter Welch filmed with longtime friend Pat Moore for the “Mr. Plant” film, along with linking up with the Videograss crew for their new movie “Mayday.”

Riding the Buck Up, Highlife UL, Berzerker, and Capo bindings, Welch joins the talented and diverse RIDE Pro Team that includes: Jake Blauvelt, Alex Cantin, Hana Beaman, Austin Hironaka, Yuki Kadono, Marco Feichtner, and Sebastien Toutant.

“I couldn’t be more stoked to join and be apart of the RIDE family,” said Welch. “RIDE is a brand that I personally have always loved and wanted to be apart of since I was a kid. Their team is amazing and I am honored to join it and look forward to riding and seeing what the next years bring.”
