Probably the most entertaining part of watching the finals of the Men’s Snowboard Halfpipe at the Olympics in Sochi was following along on twitter to see who was tweeting what when shit went down.
Here is a list of my favorite tweets from Men’s Halpipe finals in somewhat of a chronological order from when it started:
I just hope we get to see the first ever snowboard iron cross ski grab. “@anniefast: @harvitronix get ready for some “nice stuff””
— Matt Harvey (@harvitronix) February 11, 2014
Looks kinda fun, but then again I like the slush.
— JJ Thomas (@jjthomas_) February 11, 2014
if the webcast announcer is just silent then we could listen to @bradjaymc in the venue #sochi2014

— Benji Farrow (@benjifarrow) February 11, 2014
This is like having the Olympics at Mt.Hood in one of those summer camp half pipes. Good times, but not necessarily ideal for the Olympics.
— JJ Thomas (@jjthomas_) February 11, 2014
Wow the state of that halfpipe is embarrassing. Best of luck to all the boys, wish it was better conditions for you all.
— Matt Ladley (@MattLadley) February 11, 2014
Taku Hiraoka boosted 4.8 meters out of the halfpipe, we have no idea what that equals in feet. #sochihalfpipe
— Network A (@NetworkA) February 11, 2014
Just kidding. It’s 15.7 feet. Thank you, iPhone. #sochihalfpipe
— Network A (@NetworkA) February 11, 2014

— Jack Mitrani (@jackmitrani) February 11, 2014
Uh oh… Shaun fell… NBC must be losing their minds!
— Steve Fisher (@StevenHFisher) February 11, 2014
Shaun’s ass to pipe landing might have broken some of Russia’s anti-gay laws.
— Nate Abbott (@nabbott) February 11, 2014

@NBCOlympics – You’re online commentator for #halfpipe is terrible. I’d like to help you guys next time in S. Korea. Okay? Great.
— Steve Fisher (@StevenHFisher) February 11, 2014
@Jonathan_Weaver I think we need to call in Frank Wells for a rescue mission.

— Nate Scott (@aNateScott) February 11, 2014
You can’t cut a half pipe and sure as hell can’t film it either #SochiProblems
— zak hale (@zakhale) February 11, 2014
Announcers -“in the history of snowboarding, these are not traditional grabs” UGH.
— Cory Grove (@CoryGrove) February 11, 2014
They should just cut to @XGames footage so people can see the best riders riding the best pipe. #Sochi2014
— Annie Fast (@anniefast) February 11, 2014
