Having creative control over your gear doesn’t come around often, so when we got a hold of the Arnette Dibs we were stoked to see its engineers take a whole new approach to sunglass design.
Known as the Arnette Creative Exchange System, or A.C.E.S. for short, Arnette created a simple way to express yourself by offering interchangeable parts. With each pair, Arnette has included a set of colorful arms that easily snaps into place. Rock ‘em with a full color explosion or just one to really confuse people. Either way The Dibs look good.
It fits a medium to large size face and after a test spin through our home base of Boulder, Colorado, we found them to be not only good looking but also super light; you can barely feel them on your face. They’re equipped with an extremely break-proof polycarbonate lens and the handmade nylon frames add to the cool, clean style.
Arnette made The Dibs in a bunch of different color options including:
Matte Black w/ Red Mirror Lens, Neon Orange arm inserts
Matte Black w/ Blue Mirror Lens, Neon Blue arm inserts
Gloss Black w/ Polarized Grey Lens, Matte Transparent arm inserts
Gloss Black w/ Grey Lens, Neon Yellow arm inserts
Transparent w/ Chrome Mirror Lens, Transparent Aqua arm inserts
Havana w/Brown Lens, Gloss Black arm inserts
At this point there’s no way to buy just the extra sets of arm inserts, but we’re hoping they will be offered soon. For now you’ll have to settle on buying multiple pairs or exchanging with your friends. If you’re really feeling creative snag a pair of The Moolahs as they rock the same A.C.E.S. system as The Dibs.
You can score a pair of The Dibs for $89.99 – $119.95 depending on the lens you choose. Check ‘em out at arnette.com.
