Capita The Outsiders Snowboard – 2014
From the Editors of Snowboard:
If you are familiar at all with the epic 80’s film The Outsiders, you know of the coming of age tale of Johnny and Pony Boy and their penchant for aggravated assault. Johnny eventually dies because he is weak, but not before he demands that young Pony Boy, “Stay Gold,” which is not an unreasonable request given his greasy bleached hair and kind heart. This board, we assume, pays homage to those who are in search of a similar enterprise, whether it be righteousness or delinquency.
A mild hybrid of sorts, CAPITA is calling the core profile used on The Outsiders, New Age Camber. Essentially, it is positive camber (like dad’s board) with the exception of small zero camber zones near the tip and tail contact points. The idea is to provide hooligan-like strength
for smashing adult sized kickers, while still having the forgiving nature to get you out of dicey scenarios. As solid as a knife fight at a predetermined time at the city park, powerful freestyle is back baby!
Big air, confident park riders, misled youth.
Not So Much:
Soulful tree riding, whiney rich kids.
