Official release from Bataleon:

Bataleon Snowboards, leader in 3-dimensional base technology, has teamed with legendary surfboard shaper Bill Stewart to launch their inaugural summer website featuring Earth’s first Triple Base surfboard.

Bataleon has taken things to another level by working with San Clemente-based Stewart Surfboards on a truly unique surf shape. They have combined their 3-dimensional design expertise with Stewart’s surfboard shaping knowledge and created a one of a kind surfboard with 3BT shaping elements. With a blunt nose, half-crescent tail, 3BT shaped nose and the same insane airbrush graphics as the snowboard that will be released this fall, it’s the Camel Toe for liquid water.

The Camel Toe snowboard was introduced into the Bataleon line 3 seasons ago as a dedicated yet affordable second board for riding powder. The Camel Toe features POW Triple Base which is 3BT taken to the max for crazy powder surfing!

A first for Bataleon, they look at the surf collaboration with Stewart as a continuation of a relationship built from a love for surfing and snowboarding rather than a full push into the surf industry. However, with combined board building experience spanning over 50 years, the first edition surfboard will certainly not be the last.

“We are two like-minded brands,” explains Stewart, referring to Bataleon and Stewart Surfboards. “We have a passion for riding and we like to make badass boards.”

Featuring a flat tail that releases into a double concave in the middle of the board for speed, the surfboard then changes into a single concave for ease of paddling… then you hit the Triple Base in the nose that lifts the rails and makes it more forgiving on both sides of the board.

“This is the most complicated shape I have ever done,” adds Stewart.

Complicated, yes. Fun for summer waves and serious swell, absolutely.
