Boreal Mountain Resort celebrates a big anniversary this season as it moves into its 50th, the golden anniversary. On February 21, 2015 the resort will host the first annual Boreal Banked Slalom & Brewfest, a costumed race to benefit the High Fives Foundation, a Tahoe-based 501.c.3 non-profit organization dedicated to raising money and awareness for athletes who have suffered a life-altering injury while pursuing their dream in the winter action sports community.

The snowboard race features a unique and creative banked slalom course showcasing both natural and terrain-park elements. Teams of four are encouraged to compete together in the team category and all entrants are required to wear a costume of their choosing.
