If you’re in Seattle, don’t miss this.

As they say, it takes a village to raise a child and this exhibition proves no exception. This Friday, the SOS Outreach community will unite for the launch of the Faces of SOS campaign and gallery show at evo Seattle showroom. Bringing to life the impact of SOS Outreach youth programs through high quality photographs and participant stories, event attendees will enjoy an up-close perspective on individuals’ successes through SOS. Lending from the ultra-modern showroom at evo, this event will leave you inspired and counting down until the snow flies.

SOS Outreach, a non-profit serving local at-risk youth through adventure sports and positive adult mentorship, exposes youth to new outdoor adventures including skiing, snowboarding and rock climbing. Along the way, SOS helps youth build healthy and active lifestyles through service learning projects, goal-setting, life skills workshops, core value development, and positive adult mentorship. As a result, kids who would otherwise be struggling to overcome the challenges they face are on a trajectory for long term success. Illustrated by one local Seattle youth, “My favorite core value that we talk about [in SOS] is courage. Courage doesn’t just come out of nowhere. It comes when you push yourself to prove to others that you can become a better person. It helps me prove that I don’t give up. Courage comes from deep within a person who knows they’re scared and will still face their fear.”

Partnering with evo to celebrate community and demonstrate positive impact of sports based youth development was a no-brainer. SOS executive director, Seth Ehrlich says the partnership with evo “highlights the importance of leveraging connections to provide opportunities for youth in need in the community. SOS is promoting long-term success as demonstrated through the Faces of SOS exhibit.”

Kicking off at 8 p.m Friday night, evening festivities include drinks, dessert and raffles, in addition to a few Pacific Northwest participants in attendance to share their personal stories. Tickets are still available with a $20 suggested donation. To preorder, visit www.sosoutreach.org or purchase at the door. All event proceeds benefit SOS Outreach’s local Pacific Northwest year round youth programs.
