The Kelly Clark Foundation (TKCF), a registered nonprofit organization that provides youth with the resources and opportunities to achieve their highest potential through snowboarding, announced today the distribution of over $25,000 in scholarships to students nationwide – from Carrabasset Valley, ME to Mammoth Lakes, CA. A total of fifteen scholars will be achieving their snowboarding dreams with TKCF’s help.

“I want to make a lasting impact on the snowboard culture,” said Clark, an Olympic Gold medalist and Founder of TKCF. “I want to give back and invest in the next generation. I want to build something that will outlast my ability to compete, and by creating opportunity for others I will do just that.”

“Without snowboarding, I don’t know where I’d be,” says scholarship recipient Devryn Valley, from Carrabasset Valley Academy in Maine. “Every winter my life consists of hours on snow, almost every day of constant riding, progression, and work. But I love it. I love how much joy it brings me.”

The Nationwide Scholar Program operates to remove financial barriers for talented youth attending mountain academies across the United States. Each year, the Kelly Clark Foundation provides scholarships to scholars selected on the basis of athletic commitment and financial need. Scholarships will be awarded to student-athletes who display commitment and excellence in the sport of snowboarding and academics.
