Early Price Deadline Ends Monday, September 22

Aspen Snowmass, Colo. September 18, 2014 – Additional presenters and panel topics have been added to the lineup for the tenth installment of The Meeting presented by GoPro, happening in Aspen, Colo., October 2-4. The registration fee for The Meeting is $349 per person through Monday, September 22, and $399 if purchased thereafter. Registration for The Meeting 10 includes access to panels, speakers, movie screenings, guest activities, live music and Meeting parties.

“The combination of these speakers and topics are going to spark discussions that will provide attendees with a chance to evolve thinking on their own business while providing opportunity to expand their network,” says Deric Gunshor, Senior Event Marketing Manager, Aspen Skiing Company.

The Meeting is Colorado’s premier snow film festival with the latest ski and snowboard releases serving as the foundation for a weekend of panels, speakers, networking, music, art, and fun. The Meeting will include a one-day conference powered by Group Y on Friday October 3 with individual sessions that allow for discussion and networking. The conference portion of The Meeting will feature panels on content creation, social activism in business and presentations on digital audience, efficiency and additional topics.

The presentation and panel topics are as follows:

  • Discussion: Business and Social Movements presented by Protect Our Winters
  • How businesses and athletes can spark positive social change with Kim Coupounas and Chris Miller, hosted by Chris Davenport.
  • Presentation: TA McCann – Learning from your competition to win.
  • Discussion: Brand Content – The value, importance and relevance of content creation as a marketing tactic with Abe Kislevitz and Pat Mcilvain, hosted by Rob Campbell.
  • Discussion: Broadcast TV – The place of action and adventure sports on broadcast TV with Rob Faris and Tim Reed, hosted by Rob Campbell.

  • Rob Campbell is the General Manager and Editor-In-Chief of Transworld Business, the action sports industry’s leading source for trade news, trends, and new product information.   • Kim Coupounas heads B Lab, Colorado, state chapter of the Benefit Corporation movement, which supports businesses that want to do good as well as make money. Kim is co-founder of Boulder-based outdoor manufacturer and retailer GoLite, where she served as CEO and Chief Sustainability Officer.   • Chris Davenport, two-time World Champion skier, is widely regarded as one of the premier big mountain skiers in the world today. Among his many ski mountaineering achievements, in 2007 Chris became the first person to ski all fifty-four of Colorado’s 14,000-foot peaks in less than one year. He has numerous first descents of peaks around the globe under his belt, and recently guided and skied on Mt. Everest.   • Tim Reed, Senior Director, Events & Content X Games, oversees creative development and the day-to-day operations and execution of X Games events. Prior to his current role, Reed oversaw the planning and daily execution of Sports & Competition, Event Production, Medical and Logistics departments for X Games, where he led development of key X Games sports components including: RallyCross, the first temporary concrete courses, the first fan-voted event around Moto X Best Whip and created the discipline of Moto X Speed & Style. Tickets for music and movies at the Belly Up Aspen will be available through the Belly Up Box office and online at www.bellyupaspen.com/events. The D&E and Four-Mountain Sports Fashion Show at the Belly Up will be free to the public but tickets must be purchased for Spazmatics show that follows. Stay tuned for the concert at the Belly Up on Saturday, October 4. A conference-only pass will be offered for $225 and includes lunch and happy hour.
