“Kevin is a firecracker of energy and enthusiasm,” said Tim Pogue, CEO and President of Mizu. “We’re really fortunate to have someone with his skills and personality, along with the same passion we all share for our mission.”

Hackett will play a key role in the company, leading Mizu’s wholesale, custom and online sales efforts, fostering existing relationships and developing new platforms. He will work alongside company Founder Jussi Oksanen to help steer growth in sales and brand recognition.

“We make our products to help reduce single-use plastics, but that’s not enough,” said Oksanen. “Being a professional snowboarder for 18 years taught me that we also need to make products that can withstand the rigors of what top athletes and explorers can put them through. Kevin’s not just an experienced sales guy; he’s a legit outdoor adventurer himself. He’s already living a Mizu Life and so we’re really proud to have a guy like him as our frontline sales voice.”

Mizu has made an impact in the reusable bottle market by blending its authentic outdoor lifestyle branding with a technically impressive and growing product portfolio. The product line includes insulated stainless steel bottles, cups and mugs that can keep liquids cold for up to 24 hours (or hot for up to 12) and recently launched an innovative 4-piece microwave safe glass bottle.

Hackett brings eight years of sales experience to Mizu, including most recently serving as Sales Manager for the up-and-coming RAEN Optics brand in the eyewear sector.

“I am extremely excited to join Mizu. As a fan of the products, I have been impressed to see the brand grow across multiple retail environments while remaining true to their DNA. Taking the position of Sales Manager gives me the chance to combine my passions for the outdoors, core sports, brand building, and doing something that truly gives back to the places we all enjoy so much and can take for granted,” said Kevin.
