This Friday, November 6th, Satellite Boardshop in Boulder, Colorado will be hosting an event with CAPiTA and Union. Instead of trying to explain it, I figured I’d just expand on the text, verbatim, that I received from Rockies CAPiTA/Union rep and all around outstanding individual, Dave Graves.

I’ll be setting up the personal CAPiTA boards and memorabilia in the front half of the shop, installation style.

(This is cool because CAPiTA has had some of the best, most unique graphics and shapes in snowboarding, since their inception. You can see many of the iconic ones on Friday.)

Our consumer fleet of CAPiTA and Union demos will be available to pick up at the shop for free demos all weekend.

(This is cool because the board and bindings are yours for the weekend, meaning you dictate where you ride the equipment you demo, even if your current options in location are limited. Usually the location of the demo dictates where you ride the equipment you demo. This is also cool because you can ride it for two whole days, not just a couple hours.)

We are upgrading all used Union bindings brought to the event with new ratchets, ladders, toe straps as needed.

(This is cool because you can basically walk away with a new version of your bindings, for free.)

Free board waxes for CAPiTA boards brought to the event will also be going down.

(This is cool because waxed boards are way better than dry boards.)

We are showing all 3 CAPiTA movies in the parking lot on Satellite’s blow-up screen.

(This is cool because when was the last time you had the chance to see First Kiss on a big screen?)

Pretty girls will get free hats.

(This is cool because Dave actually means anyone who is friendly and shows up early enough will get a free hat.)

Chad Kimura from Full Sail is hooking up the Session bevies.

(This is cool because it’s free beer.)
