Luther "Uncle Luke" Campbell Takes Company Public On NASDAQ
You may remember songs like... "Throw that D", or "Me so Horny", or even "We want some P@SSY", Well, Luke is singing a different tune now....
Luther Campbell today announced the creation of the Luke Entertainment Group www.lukeentertainmentgroup.com, a multi-media company that will be operated on the NASDAQ pink sheets symbol (LKEN). Shares will start trading beginning in the month of December. Luther Campbell, a long time music industry veteran and leader of the popular 80’s and 90’s group 2 Live Crew will be the first Hip Hop artist to take a company Public and will serve as Chief Creative Officer. The Luke Entertainment Group will offer consumers video tones, downloadable web content to integrate the existing Luther Campbell brand. Additionally, the Company will have a sports marketing division which will manage the careers of professional athletes as well as a music division which will offer independent artist an opportunity to build their fan base.
Victor Nappe will serve as CEO and oversee day to day operations for the Luke Entertainment Group. Nappe is a high-tech entrepreneur founding several companies, consulting for numerous Fortune 500 firms, chairing on numerous e-commerce advisory panels including US Congress, Kaiser College Business School, Prepaid Press and many others. He also appears as a technology, sales and marketing expert on several broadcasting stations.
