Riders from as far as Colorado swarmed the invite only venue at Boreal to express themselves on the new SNOWBOARD Magazine X Boreal Signature Stairmaster.

A 28 custom-built stair set featuring 4 rail options including a DFD, a 30ft. single barrel, and two 30 ft. ledges for your jibbing pleasure.
The day started perfect with sponsors rolling in ....

and park staff putting the finishing touches on the SNOWBOARD Mag X Boreal Signature Stairmaster set-up.
The plan was simple- invite the West Coast's best rail riders out for a season kickoff Invitational Pro rail jam with over $8000.00 in total cash prizes.

Invite the entire Sacramento and Tahoe basin to come jib the free public jib features, and give the locals a last chance to get the discounted season pass.
The event was produced by Boreal in association with Fuel TV and SNOWBOARDMagazine, Red Bull, and other major sponsors including Liberty Skis, Da Kine, 32 Boots, Burton, Ride Snowboards, Flow Snowboarding, Grenade, Nomis, Porters Tahoe, Von Zipper, Vans, Dragon, Planet Earth, Rome SDS, Smith, and many more.
This event was powered entirely by renewable energy credits in conjunction with Boreal and there Green initiaves. Over the past three years Boreal has always strived to set a Green example for others to follow!

Style was a huge centerpoint on this particular day as riders showcased there skill in front of thousands of jib hungry fans!

With hitters like Mike Casanova, Chas Guldemond, Jake Divine, Brett Butcher, Chad Tarbell, Zak Hale, Johnny Lazz, Cameron Pierce, and Jed Hoffman in the mix, it was not going to be easy to grab the loot here. Consistency and variation of tricks was the tone of the evening.
When it finally came down to it, Casanova, and Guldemond put down sw FS boards, kinked FS boards, swith nose presses, and cab over 270s, FS pretzels and almost every combo to impress the industry judges Lane Knaack, Eric Rosenwald, and Curtis Woodman.
The 40 minute jam final was incredible to watch! Other standouts was local Ben Bogart and his nose presses. Jed Hoffman riding solid, Brett Butcher and his FS hand plant on the Red Bull short bus.

A huge bonfire as an homage to the Snow Gods. David Benedek's Blank Paper Studios' "In Short" premiere was welcomed with enthusiasm, topped off with a crowd of over 3500 spectators to celebrate Boreals all mountain terrain park opening here shortly for the 2007-2008 season.
If you haven't ridden Boreal, dont sleep! The mountain packs a perfectly sculpted full Superpipe, tree jibs, multiple terrain features for all levels of riding, ski/snowboard instruction, and signature features in there Pro park this year! The pass is one of the best values in the country for your dollar with riding from 9 am - 9 pm every day - all the way thru the end of May ...you can't go wrong!
