11/11/11 marked possibly the most anticipated Summit County opening day of the season at Breckenridge.  With the sun shining and hopes high, the Breckenridge park crew did not disappoint.

A perfect triple line and four solid rails made park lane a rider's early season heaven!

With a solid crew geared up and ready to ride, we packed the car with photographer/videographer Doug Cushnie, videographer Jon Kelly, and began our carpool to the mountain.

Arriving to an expectedly full parking lot, we loaded the gondola and anticipated an awesome time riding with friends in the sun.

Although the lift lines were crowded everyone was pumped to be on the slopes and making turns. With three lifts open we chose to ride the Colorado Express to get our carve on before catching some air in the park. Legs warmed up and smiles on our faces we started getting our jump on.

There was no lacking of tricks as local riders and pro's threw down on the jump line. With Quiksilver's own Eric Willet and Burton's Hans Mindnich there was no lack of exciting sights to see as riders spun and flipped from one jump to another.

As the clouds rolled in and lines mellowed out, the park crew put one more last rake in place to make sure the day ended on the best note possible.

It's easy to say that Colorado is on top of its game and ready for another amazing year of riding. The stoke level is high, and skills are definitely not lacking. And with a triple jump line open in early November, everyone's smiling.
