Crested Butte Opening Day

Mike Hardaker CB Opening Day

Powder Journal – The Crested Butte Ski resort has opened for the the 2010-2011 ski season!!! The lifts fired up at 9:00am with only a handful of people waiting for first tracks, maybe it was the blizzard like conditions that kept people away, whatever it is I can can get used to this. One of the main reasons I moved out Colorado Newspaper to the middle of nowhere..

Riding a hand painted bus up to the ski resort with the Grateful Dead blaring on the radio, where on earth am I.. Does it matter? Life is good, everyone here is all smiles. There is no egos or vibes in CB, it's refreshing. Be sure to follow along via my Powder Journal this winter.
