Two-time Olympic silver medalist, Danny Kass, and snowboarding’s unofficial Master of Ceremonies, The Dingo, announce the return of the much anticipated Grenade Games 8. This snowboarding festival kicks off March 23-25, 2012 at Big Bear Mountain in Big Bear Lake, CA.
The action packed weekend will bring together great entertainment, intense snowboarding competitions and live musical performances. Hosting over 6,000 athletes, celebrities and spectators each day, Grenade Games successfully meshes the snowboarding industry, creating a celebration of the sport for top global athletes and ground level consumers alike.
Founder of lifestyle brand Grenade, Danny Kass, is also the brainchild behind Grenade Games. “The Grenade Games is not for the faint of heart,” said Kass. “Each challenge will take a very daring and somewhat lucky individual to win.”
Kass holds multiple competition records in snowboarding and is among the sport’s most eccentric athletes. His records include 5 US Open Championships, 7 Winter X Games medals and 2 Olympic silver medals. Kass currently stars on Fuel TV’s “The Adventures of Danny and The Dingo” and is the founder and president of Grenade.
The Dingo, Danny’s co-host on The Adventures of Danny and The Dingo, shares the same passion for sport and music as Kass. “Music and snowboarding go hand-in-hand,” said The Dingo. Previous Grenade Games performing artists include Ivy League, DJ Unite, The Game, Metric, The Wutang, Fat Joe and Agent Orange.
This year, Grenade Games 8 will additionally be working with Road 2 Recovery as the charity for the event. Shirts will be sold and there will be a raffle in which all proceeds will go to the charity.
