Denver Post names Boa Technology one of Denver’s top workplaces

(Press Release)

April 23, 2013 (Denver, Colo.) — On Sunday, The Denver Post listed Boa Technology, makers of the patented, award-winning Boa Closure System, thirteenth on its list of Denver’s Top Small Workplaces (companies with less than 150 employees). Boa Technology was just one of four companies (from the 114 business ranked on the list) profiled in the Sunday, April 21st edition of The Denver Post for its corporate health and wellness program as a major contributor to its creative, fitness-oriented corporate culture.

Boa Technology’s headquarters, which recently relocated to Denver’s new Taxi development near the Platte River, has a dog-, bike-, barbeque- and family friendly work environment that encourages employees to incorporate daily fitness and activity into their lives. In addition to moral support, the company gives employees, comprised of bikers, Nordic skiers, ultrarunners, triathletes and even snowmobile jumpers, $500 annually to support their physical activities, either in the form of classes, gym membership, race entry fees or equipment. Boa also offers employees lunchtime fitness and nutrition workshops, outdoor and volunteer activities and profit-sharing benefits.

“When people are athletic, it requires a certain discipline that permeates their whole lives,” Boa Technology President Mark Soderberg, a national mountain-bike champion, told The Denver Post. The company channels that sports-related discipline and focused work ethic to creative problem solving, innovation and creativity in the workplace.

Employees are encouraged to participate in the company’s “Health & Wellness Challenge” that supports individuals’ goals and rewards them for their achievements in pursuit of ideal work-life balance.

For over 12 years, Boa Technology has been producing the world’s premium closure system that is now used on over 25 million products worldwide on products ranging from snowboard boots to bike shoes, running shoes, golf shoes, hunting and fishing boots, as well as ski gloves, helmets and many others. All Boa-powered products are backed by the company’s “Dialed in For Life Guarantee”.
