Diplo Rocks The Snowboard, Nike Snowboarding, Satellite Party At SIA

Last Friday, on the second night of the annual SIA Trade Show in Denver, Nike Snowboarding and Satellite Board Shop helped us throw a banger party with world-renowned DJ Diplo.

Summit Music Hall was the location, set right in downtown and close to all the tradeshow action. From 9 to 11pm Nike and Satellite Boardshop teamed up to host the Shoeshine featuring snowboard boots painted by an array of artists. Lit up on individual platforms, each pair of boots was matched with a label describing where the artists inspiration came from. The colors, themes and textures were wildly imaginative and the Shoeshine was a great way to kick off the night.

As the crowd filed in and began to pack the venue, DJ Musa took to the stage to hype the crowd for Diplo. As everyone mingled and started to get loose, DJ Musa announced Diplo and the over-capacity house went nuts. Best known as one part of Major Lazer and producing hits for M.I.A., Santigold, Lil' Jon and Missy Elliot, Mississippi born Diplo, brought it with a two hour set, filled with dub-step, reggae, hip-hop and old school jams. It was one big dance party with people spraying beer, moshing and jumping up and down.

Thanks Nike Snowboarding, Satellite and Diplo for an epic night. A big thanks to all who came out and could actually make it in. See ya next year!
