Flow Tailgate BC is set to go off! This years inaugural event, scheduled for March 8 -12, 2012 promises educational opportunities, parties, formal and informal competitions and entertainment for all. This spring, for five days, dedicated recreational riders, legends, professional athletes and the industry will gather to celebrate Canada’s best mountains and snow conditions in Revelstoke, B.C.

According to event founder Mark Sullivan, "Flow Tailgate BC will be an unprecedented event. It will offer participants the once-in-a-lifetime chance to do first descents and name the runs in some of the world’s most renowned mountains. Working with Eagle Pass Heliskiing, Flow Tailgate BC offers both professional and recreational riders and skiers the chance to check a big one off the bucket list – doing first descents and naming the runs in some of the world’s most celebrated terrain.”

This season Eagle Pass was granted a new land tenure in a previously unexplored area of the BC backcountry close to Revelstoke. According to Eagle Pass owner and VP Scott Newsome, “Last season we went into the new zone on a filming permit with Travis Rice for Art of Flight. When we were granted a tenure in that area, we decided to do something special and hold onto the terrain for riders at Tailgate BC to ride first.”

Perhaps no other event in the history of wintersports has promised to be a ‘first descent festival,’ but Flow Tailgate BC will be just that. In addition to exploring new terrain, participants will be treated to free snowmobile education and riding clinics, free snow science classes, complimentary beer, massive parties and the company of Canadian and international legends.

Flow Tailgate BC also plays host to Flow Tailgate Alaska (April 1 – 12, 2012), voted by Transworld readers as the #1 snowboarding event in the world and the Flow World Freeriding Championships with the largest prize in big mountain riding, $10,000 to the winner.

The best part is, YOU are invited to come and participate. A limited number of Tickets to the event are still available through www.tailgatebc.com for $199.
