Flow Upgrades NXT series 'Front Pod'

Reports have been received of some breakages of the fastening system which connects the front ladder (ratchet) strap to the binding’s baseplate. The part in question is a metal/plastic T nut into which the ladder strap’s Philips head screw is inserted. We call this the front pod. See the image above.

If the plastic flange cracks and separates from the T nut’s metal shaft, it could allow the front ladder strap to become detached from the baseplate. A new all-metal replacement pod is now in production, with first quantities already sent to all Flow distributors. In order to avoid the risk of pod breakage, we recommend that all NXT front pods be replaced with the new metal part before further use of the binding. This applies to all Flow NXT models.

The original plastic pods should be discarded. NXT owners can contact their local Flow dealer for replacement parts, go to http://www.flow.com/en/dealer-locator/index.html or contact your national Flow distributor go to http://www.flow.com/en/dealer-locator/2.html
