The 2014 Buyer’s Guide now available on newsstands and iTunes

September 3rd, 2013 by

Here at Snowboard Mag, we care a lot about solid product. We want to get you in gear that will take you from first chair to last call, (shout-out to the late, great, Forum) and from rails to ridges in prime form. In the name of a stupid amount of fantastic days of riding, Snowboard Mag’s 2014 Buyer’s Guide is once again gracing newsstands across the country. This issue is all about the latest and greatest boots, boards, bindings, goggles, outwear — the list goes on — and the people behind the progression.

The editors here at Snowboard Mag have tried and tested hundreds of products in order to name this year’s Platinum Picks: gear that goes above, beyond, and then some. Here is the top-notch gear that we are drooling over; the boards we’re dreaming about getting on as soon as the first snow falls.

Our Editor’s Picks also reflect the best and brightest that 2013/14 has to offer, as Senior Editor Nate Deschenes, Editor-in-chief Susie Floros and Photo Editor Tim Peare call out the kits that they are personally stoked on.

This round, we’ve unveiled our first annual “Splitboard Mission,” putting the season’s top splitboards to the test in the high Eastern Sierras. With Deschenes and Floros on-board, only the most impressive of the bunch made it to the presses.

There’s obviously no shortage of personality behind all of these products, and to overlook the characters comprising the industry would be blasphemy. That’s why we’ve included a few killer PRO(files) — including the ridiculously talented CAPiTA crew — for your reading pleasure.

Grab your guide from the newsstands ($5.99 U.S.), or find a copy on the iTunes newsstand. This year we can happily inform you that the iTunes pricing has been adjusted; single issues will be available for download at $2.99/issue, while a one-year subscription will only put a $5.99 hole in your pocket.

Simply put, we’re here to get you informed, outfitted, and stoked on the 2013/14 season.
