Burton x Red Wing limited edition Rover boot collaboration

November 1st, 2011 by

If you havn't already heard, Burton Snowboards teamed up with legendary shoe maker Red Wing Heritage to collaborate on a boot that would offer the form and function of Burton's boots with the look and feel of your classic Red Wing boot.

After getting a look at them during SIA we couldn't wait to get our hands on a pair to really dive into what these boots have to offer. Once again we set up the studio to bring you a closer look at one of our favorite boot collaboration of the 2011/2012 season.

The Rover Limited Snowboard Boot combines Red Wing's traditional style and durability with Burton's expertise in performance and comfort within a snowboard boot. Being the first collaboration between the two companies the Rover was inspired by Red Wing's traditional sport boot, the 877, and their signature full grain leather and traditional yellow lacing.

The traditional look in combination with a strategic support and cushioning system and snow-proof gussets creates one hell of a boot with a style that will surely turn heads.

As Burton is a rider driven company you know there was a helping hand from one of their team riders. Jeremy Jones has always been a fan of Red Wing which made him a perfect fit to help oversee this product from start to finish. "I'm very stoked to see this boot come to life," stated Jeremy. "I look forward to shredding in them all season long."

The Rover limited boot is available now for $349.95 at Burton Flagship stores and select retailers.
