Akomplice continues to deliver on their socially conscious approach to streetwear, this time through the Protect Species collection. They have teamed up with The Nature Conservancy, a leading conservation organization that seeks to protect both land and water worldwide, and Akomplice is giving 10% of all profits from this collection towards helping conserve land for wildlife. Akomplice believes in The Nature Conservancy’s mission, and wants to ensure that they do their part to help protect the ecologically important lands, which serve as the habitat to many endangered species. The Protect Species collection posits exotic animals against a series of t-shirts. The cheetah, flamingo and lion are all represented and serve as a reminder that earth’s resources are finite and shared with other living beings. Over the years, Akomplice has found a way to synthesize social responsibility and style, while elevating issues that would otherwise fall on deaf ears within the streetwear subset. Further than tipping their hat to The Nature Conservancy through animal images, each t-shirt comes complete with printed text reminding consumers where a portion of their money is going and why it’s worthy.

“10% of profits donated to The Nature Conservancy, the leading conservation organization working around the world to protect ecologically important lands and waters for nature and people. They’ve protected more than 119 million acres of land and thousands of miles of rivers.”
