Kicking off Olympic qualifiers in style, Greg Bretz beat out Shaun White to win the 2013 Dew Tour men’s superpipe.

Another sunny, bluebird day played host to the 16 qualifiers, as the flipped and corked their way through the pipe. The final was plagued by a trend of first run falls, though Greg Bretz broke free from the mold and put down a very solid 91.40 on his first try. White managed only 11th after first runs wrapped, though he stepped up his game for round two and ended up snagging second place with a 90.4.

Up and comer Taylor Gold exceeded all expectations and took third place, beating out consistent favorites like Louie Vito, Scotty Lago, Danny Davis, and Iouri Podlatchikov.

A great showing, and fantastic upset, to kick off the contest, and Olympic season.
