Jeff Meyer on the Discovery Channel's Stunt Junkies Tonight

Flaming Rail Slide

For his stunt, Jeff Meyer will do a 120-foot snowboard rail slide while the rail is on fire. At the end of the flaming rail, he will go into a drop while the snowboard is still ablaze. In addition to balance and bravery, Jeff will push the engineering of current snowboards with a "lock-on" snowboard base that would have the capacity to lock onto the rail, but also be able to ride across the snow smoothly. His relationship with Never Summer Snowboards and their Denver factory will be an essential element to his stunt. To ensure Jeff's safety while on fire, Stunt Junkies co-host and fire stunt expert Perry Barndt will put him in the proper protective gear, make sure all the proper safety precautions are taken, and monitor the fire to keep it at safe levels. In this episode, we will explore the physics of snowboarding and a rail slide, and the chemistry and science involved in executing fire stunts.
