Truckee, CA (February 10, 2014) – ISPO—the leading international sports business tradeshow—has recognized the Jones Ultracraft Splitboard as the winner in the Action Segment Splitboard Category. ISPO Awards honor the most exceptional sporting goods and are selected by a neutral jury of independent sports business professionals. Many categories feature several hundred entries from exhibitors and non-exhibitors and winners are chosen based on clearly defined criteria.

“This is a huge honor for us,” said Jones Snowboards Founder, Jeremy Jones. “Our commitment to providing riders with the best, most progressive gear is what drives our brand. Knowing that the global snow sports industry finds the Ultracraft as revolutionary as we do is exciting and humbling.”

Tested on Denali and the Grand Teton, the performance of the Ultracraft has been proven on some of the heaviest splitboard mountaineering achievements on the planet. The Ultracraft is built using top secret ‘Ultra’ Construction and cutting edge carbon core and topsheet materials. The result is a game-changing mountain vehicle that weighs only 5.5 lbs. at 156cm. The Ultracraft is also one of the first splitboards designed as individual skis before being transformed into a solid board allowing for state-of-the-art production precision. The Ultracraft is currently sold exclusively by Jones authorized EPICenter shops worldwide, but will be available to all Jones retailers for the 14/15 season.

Also named a 2013 Gear of the Year award winner byNational Geographic, the Ultracraft joins the ranks of the world’s best products. The ISPO Award contributes to both retailer and consumer confidence, and is often referenced as an important purchase determiner. Winners were officially presented with their awards on January 27th at the ISPO Snow, Ice and Rock Summit.
