Women’s Grand Prix halfpipe qualifiers went off last night under the lights in Copper, with Kelly Clark taking the top spot heading into Saturday night’s finals. Arielle Gold, who qualified through to finals in Heat 2, took the second place score of the day, breaking into the 90s — 90.5, to be exact —and leaving third place’s Gretchen Bleiler behind with a score in the low 80s.

Last night was a prime practice round for the ladies, as they were given the chance to compete under the same lights as they will be dueling underneath come finals. Men’s and women’s halfpipe finals will begin on Saturday, the 19th, at 7pm.
