Another session comes to a close here at Windells Camp, the “funnest” place on earth.

Campers head home tuckered out after days of euro carves down the Palmer glacier, rope tow laps through Windells’ mile-long private snowpark and daily skate sessions in the Concrete Jungle. Tons of fun activities on hill and off made Session 2 a blast for everyone.

Session 2 boasted everything from blue skies to snowfall, but sporadic weather did little to damper Chase Weaver and the rest of the Windells Diggers. They put together another amazing set up in Windells’ lane. A variety of jumps and jibs for all skill levels provided Session 2 campers with the perfect environment to progress all session long.

Past Downtown Throwdown standouts Nial Romanek, Forest Baily, Ted Borland, Nick Visconti, Dylan Thompson, Johnny Lazz and Jesse Burtner took over Windells for the Lib Tech Downtown Throwdown Team Takeover. Off hill, the crew combined Nial, dodgeball, and an autograph signing for a spin on the camp classic. Campers enjoyed skating BOB’s brand new interior with Dylan Thompson and had their minds blown by Jesse Burtner’s tramp skating wizardry.

On hill the Downtown Throwdown crew judged The Feeders! at Windells. The Feeders! is a rail jam series that gives competitors the opportunity to win a spot in the Lib Tech Downtown Throwdown. Windells Diggers built a unique setup for the event. “Nine unique hits made it so that the winner had to be an well-rounded rider and able to do more than just hit your standard features,” said Nial. Hammers were being dropped left and right all day long. Standouts included Head Counselor Cody Lee’s smooth top to bottom runs, Aaron Cardwell’s deep bag of tricks, Jesse Paul’s insanely technical lines and Everest Arnold’s tricks through the kinks. In the end it was Jake Rose walking away the win, setting himself apart from the rest with his consistency. The judges decided to give away a second entry into the Downtown Throwdown to Jesse Paul for his video part in Working For The City II.

Session 3 kicks off in a few days with the Burton team takeover session. Special guests Ethan Deiss, Zak Hale, Tommy Gesme and Jordan Morse will be hanging out at camp all session long. With nothing but good weather in the forecast and plenty of snow to be had there is no time better than now to be at Windells.

Spots are still available for Windells Camp Summer 2013. Register before they’re all gone! Stay tuned to www.windells.com, facebook and instagram for more updates throughout the summer.
