After two years, it’s finally starting to snow in Colorado. I had the chance to head to Beaver Creek with the So-Gnar crew who is on break from their Snowboard Camp Tour. New for this year the camp has expanded to nearly 20 stops all over the US and the boys are in town for some much needed rest, but taking a break from riding wasn’t part of the plan.

Beaver Creek is one of the best spots in Colorado (if not the best) for cruising the mountain and finding side hits, jibs, rocks, stumps, and pow stashes that their usual clientele isn’t too concerned about. The resort just got a ton of snow and in the trees you still had too look watch out for the random down log or shark fin peakin’ through, but we were all stoked to gets some laps in with that fresh light Colorado snow.

Beaver Creek is home to the Log Masters every spring. The annual log jib competition uses a golf scoring system to score riders based on a set par for each log. We hit up Wookie the master of ceremonies for the contest and yoda of the Beaver Creek loggers. He said nothing had been set up because there hadn’t been enough snow and just not to f*ck anything up and have fun.

And with that we were off. Here are a few shots from around the mountain on President day weekend.
