Other than grabbing one off of a sale rack, reaching for a snowboard in the month of June is counterintuitive in almost every other situation. But for the campers at Woodward Copper, winter is always top of mind. Never Summer and Zeal Optics kicked off summer shred with the kids at Session One by bringing in team riders and a shitload of product for the young prodigies to test out.

Upon first glance one would immediately dismiss this jib and jump oasis as a mirage, but the crew at Woodward Copper has done a phenomenal job of crafting a full terrain park where would should not exist. Located further up the mountain where the temperatures stay cool, the on-hill portion of camp is set up with a small, medium and large jump line, step-up, tube rail, c-rail, down-flat-down, down rail, beginner boxes and a massive quarterpipe at the base of the park. Now complete with a poma lift to shuttle campers at maximum speed, the camp is better than ever.

A solid contingent of the Never Summer team including Jason Hindman, Nick Larson, Bill Rodriguez, Rick Rodriguez and Brock Butterfield were boosting every feature and putting style on display for the Woodward campers, providing proper inspiration on where their snowboarding can go. Alongside the NS crew, Mike Sears and Pat Milbery kept it loose by building side hits and turning a creative eye to the features on snow.

Woodward Copper is ramping up for a full summer schedule with pros like Louis-Felix Paradis, Dan Brisse, Sage Kotsenburg, Joe Sexton and a shitload more. Click here for more info.
