New Zealand - Due to very warm weather on Friday 26th May and overnight rain, the opening day has delayed until Sunday 28th May when the freezing level is forecast to drop to 1600 meters. However it will only be open weekends at this stage and 7 days a week from later in June.

The recent snow falls have created a good snow base. Main runs are groomed, all lifts will be operating. 2006 season passes are available at a special price if purchased now.
With improvements such as the installation of the Triple Chair lift up the west valley in recent years provides even more enjoyment.
