Oakley Progression Sessions

Oakley is pleased to announce the return of the Oakley Progression Session series – two-day ski and snowboard camps for women looking to step up their skills on the mountain. With four camps located throughout North America slotted for 2015, including two stops in Canada, each will be led by professional coaches and Oakley athletes who are ready to share the lowdown on how to ride like they do. The four camps will take place at top resorts during the months of March and April 2015.

“We’re so excited and proud to kick off our 5th year of the Oakley Progression Sessions series! What started out as a single event has turned into so much more,” said Oakley Women’s Brand Manager Jenny Earnshaw. “OPS is a sisterhood of driven women who share a passion for skiing, snowboarding and all things active. When you bring them all together for a weekend of progression with Oakley pro athletes, custom built terrain parks and immense amounts of fun… these ladies are unstoppable. This year we’ve partnered with world class resorts to make the experience that much better. We are thrilled to be taking OPS to Whistler/Blackcomb for the first time and will be bringing the camp back to Mammoth Mountain, Mont Tremblant and of course back to our roots at Loon Mountain, where the event originated with their Droppin’ In camp. That combined with our athlete roster of Olympians and X Games medalist, makes this a year you won’t want to miss!”

LOCATIONS:
March 14-15: Whistler Blackcomb, BC $350 USD w/o season pass, $300 w/ season pass.
March 21-22: Mammoth Mountain, CA $290 USD
March 28-29: Loon Mountain, NH $215, $255 (includes two-day lift ticket)
April 4-5: Mont Tremblant, Quebec $299 USD

“For all of the OPS coaches, it’s really amazing getting to share our passion for riding with the women who attend the camps,” said OPS head coach Mary Walsh. “One of our most important goals is to help women to feel comfortable and confident when they’re riding in the park so that they can learn new things and have the most fun possible. Sometimes park riding can be intimidating and that’s why OPS exist: to break down barriers and show individuals what they are truly capable of doing. We emphasize the group learning environment to create this support in what is a very individual sport. We are all in this together!”

At Oakley Progression Sessions campers get to hone in on their freestyle skills with one on one coaching from Oakley pro athletes and coaching staff. Each resort provides a private terrain park or private features built specifically to suit the camper’s needs. At OPS we also stress the importance of overall body health and provide daily yoga sessions to get the ladies warmed up and ready to ride. Each camper will be provided an Oakley Crowbar Goggle, where they get to choose the frame and lens combo from a variety of color options. And of course, a day of shredding wouldn’t be complete without après to celebrate the day’s accomplishments! Lift tickets, lunch and an amazing gift bag are also included in the price of the camp. All these things combined make for an all-around epic weekend of good times and great experiences.
