Vans and Sierra-at-Tahoe resort regret to announce the cancellation of the Vans Hi-Standard Series Tahoe stop, originally scheduled for this weekend. Due to weather conditions, Sierra-at-Tahoe resort officially confirmed its decision to close for the season. “It is with a heavy heart we must announce Sierra-at-Tahoe Resort will be suspending winter operations beginning tomorrow, Monday, March 16,” said general manager of Sierra-at-Tahoe John Rice. “Conditions around the mountain have deteriorated to the point where we can no longer deliver a product that meets our standards.”

The next stop of the Vans Hi-Standard Series remains confirmed and will occur on March 21 in Austria at the Vans Penke Park, Mayrhofen. Following that, the series continues with the final stop at Big White resort in British Columbia.
