Welches, Oregon (June 6, 2007) – Windells Snowboard Camps kicked off its first session of the summer with astonishing amounts of snow and terrain.
According to camp founder Tim Windell, “I am really excited for this summer. There is more snow in our area than I have seen in 19 years of doing camps here. Timberline did an incredible job this season farming snow into our lane.”
The Windells area on Mt. Hood comprises a lane that is a mile long and filled with snowboarding terrain of every description. With jumps from 10 to more than 100 feet, Windells is proud to provide features for every level of progression.
“We have so much room on the mountain to build terrain. This year 40% of our terrain is geared to the intermediate rider. We already have 28 rail features out on the snow and our Superpipe is already going off,” says Windell.
With so much snow, everyone and the staff at Windells are wrought with anticipation for what is stacking up to be the best summer in memory.
