On September 24th, family, friends, brothers, sisters and a community of awesomeness gathered in Northwest Montana to celebrate the life of Aaron “A-Rob” Robinson. The 24-hour Carnival was hosted at the Robinson family property in Columbia Falls, Montana. Mother Pam, father Jeff and brothers Jason and Sean opened up their house, garden and land for all to come commemorate, celebrate and pay their respects to one very special person.

The property was fully equipped with camping, DJ’s, bands, a slip-n-slide, a dunk tank, catered food and eating pavilion, pony rides, a horse shoe pit, vendor row, face painting, temporary tattoos, a slide show in the garage showcasing amazing A-Rob moments and a stage for numerous performances.

Amongst all the acts Gina, A-Rob’s soul mate, performed a dance that was truly amazing and had the crowd captivated. As the spirits began to rage, a local punk rock band played anthem after anthem including a cover of  “Bro Hymn” by Pennywise that had the crowd screaming at the top of their lungs. Shortly after the dust settled in front of the stage, Jake Price introduced the premiere of Volcom’s VBJ Snow trip in Canada that A-Rob, Curtis Ciszek, Alex Lopez and Jeff Hawe had shared last winter. The edit had everyone hooting; hollering and yelling so loud, Canada had to hear it! To watch A-Rob shred is special, super creative and full of energy, his lines were bold and his style unmatched.

One of A-Rob’s goals was to introduce snowboarding to underprivileged kids. He wanted to share a sport that had given him so much joy and love to others. The A-Rob Carnival was a jump-start to that goal. With donations from vendors and the education of the “A-Rob Plant a Seed” foundation up and running, we can all help to achieve his goal.
