Akomplice took over downtown Denver in order to create what is undoubtedly one of the most creative lookbooks we have been lucky enough to flip through. Here are a few images from the campaign, plus an explanation behind the concept from Akomplice:

Akomplice Fall 2013 – The Coming

Through the mixture of mediums both digital and tangible, Akomplice has re-imagined the lookbook for Fall 2013. More than a flipbook of stylish shots juxtaposed against the Denver cityscape, the Akomplice Fall 2013 lookbook was literally canvassed across the city via wheat paste. From the Democratic National Convention, to the A3C festival in ATL, to the Beast Coast movement, Akomplice continues to offer inroads to the cultural zeitgeist with each lookbook. For their fall collection, Akomplice taps burgeoning talent in the electronic enclave that is scaling globally. Artists include Big Gigantic, Griz, Paper Diamond, Two Fresh, Michal Menert and Catch Lungs, all of whom were captured in their natural element, including the props and vices of their choice. Rather than staged and meticulously styled, the Akomplice Fall 2013 lookbook take a different approach, giving a natural look at each artist’s style with palpable personality captured in each image. The artists chose to don Akomplice staples including 5 panel hats, jackets, hoodies, patterned pants and vintage inspired jerseys from their fall collection. The end result is a set of images that naturally blends into the background of Denver rather than appearing as a set of branded advertisements. Peruse the pictures and get ready for Akomplice’s fall 2 drop on Thursday September 26th on their Webstore.
