The longest standing halfpipe & slopestyle contest in snowboarding, the Burton US Open, went off in Vail, Colorado a couple weekends ago. In traditional US Open form it snowed during slopestyle finals and the sun came out in full force during halfpipe finals. Vermont or Colorado, I was thankful to finally get my hands on a SUP pass… the key to the US Open Shooting Kingdom. In-between interviews with top riders competing in their first event since the slushy Sochi world stage I had fun capturing the action. I hope you enjoy the gallery and captions as much as I enjoyed watching Terje “poach” the halfpipe.
