There are few things in the world better than a great pair of socks, and the people at Stance know how to make really great socks. The Louif Paradis signature sock belongs to Stance’s Performance Aero-Blend line, and is designed for ultimate breathability and moisture wicking. While great socks might be the best, cold, wet, and stinky socks are the worst. It’s a shame these will be hidden in your boots all day.

CAPiTA DOA Snowboard

When you have a snowboard called the Defenders of Awesome, you need to pull out all of the stops to make sure it lives up to its name. Well rest assured, the folks working in the Mothership at CAPiTA have been doing just that. An all-mountain slayer, the DOA features a hybrid camber profile, with camber under the feet that turns to flat outside of the bindings, and then to a minimal reverse camber which ultimately becomes flat kick in the tip and tail. It sounds complicated and crazy, and traditional camber gurus may be skeptical, but this design has been tweaked and perfected over the last four years earning the DOA countless awards and praise from far and wide. If you take a freestyle approach to the whole mountain, don’t let your board hold you back.

Patagonia Long Root Ale

Over the past few years, Patagonia has expanded their Provisions section with a variety of jerkys, breakfast options, and various dried meals. It has reached the point where it is nearly an online grocery store. So it came as no real surprise when the brand announced last Monday that Long Root Ale will be the next big item to hit shelves. Long Root Ale is brewed in collaboration with Hopworks Urban Brewery in Portland Oregon, and is the first beer to ever be brewed using sustainable grain farming techniques. Long Root Ale is made with Kernza, a perennial grain that thrives year round without pesticides and uses very little water, making it ideal for organic regenerative agriculture. Unfortunately distribution is currently limited to the Pacific North West, so we will be crossing our fingers for an expanded market – and that our friends in Washington and Oregon drink up for us.
