[Aspen, CO]—WeSC is pleased to announce that on Saturday, August 7th, 2010, WeSC will open doors to brand’s much anticipated 461 East Hopkins Avenue concept store, celebrating with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and in-store event, beginning at 4PM. The central, downtown Aspen location is the 3rd US concept store for the Swedish born street-fashion brand, designed “For Intellectual Slackers,” and favorite of big screen stars and snowboarders alike.

“We’re extremely happy to introduce Aspen to WeSC and are excited to be a part of the amazing and creative community that is here,” said WeSC CEO and co-founder, Greger Hagelin. “The ribbon-cutting ceremony marks the unveiling of our new store design and also includes several custom features, inspired by the city of Aspen, which we hope you will come out and see for yourself.”

WeSC- which stands for “WeAretheSuperlativeConspiracy”- also holds US storefronts in NYC’s trendy downtown SoHo neighborhood, and Los Angeles’ iconic Robertson Blvd., and has collaborated with some of street-wear’s biggest names, including Adidas, Super Sunglasses, MEDICOM TOYS, Casio G-Shock and Nokia, to name only a few.

WeSC Board Director, and part-time Aspen resident, Theodor Dalenson, as well as Hagelin, and several of the brands “WeActivists” are scheduled to be on hand to offer remarks, help celebrate and assist in the ribbon cutting.

“We’re very excited to bring everyone together to celebrate WeSC in Aspen, and to have the opportunity to show residents what the Superlative Conspiracy stands for,” adds Hagelin. “With its love for skate and snow, and appreciation for creativity and style, Aspen is a perfect place for WeSC to open its doors.”

WeSC’s Aspen concept store is the first US based store to implement the brands newest layout for it’s 20+ storefronts, located throughout the US, Europe and Asia. Designed by renowned Swedish architects TEA, and constructed locally by Aspen residents, Jeffery Halferty and Scott Strictland, WeSC’s Aspen location will include the brand’s full range of premium denim, men’s, women’s and children’s apparel, headphones, and accessories, in addition to being one of the few locations to offer exclusive collaboration pieces, specialty items and WeSC footwear, which will launch in the Spring of 2011.

WeSC’s ribbon cutting ceremony will begin at 4PM and will be followed by a celebration including music, gifts with purchase, beverages and light snacks, with after-party TBA.
