Living at a high elevation in Colorado has it's perks...you can always find snow somewhere that's rideable. After a great 07-08 season in Colorado, there was still snowboarding to be found at St. Mary's Glacier or on Breck's 4th of July Bowl. The month of September, I found myself with friends driving up to the top of Breck on a jeep trail to enjoy some fall shredding on rails set up. These are pictures taken on Sept 13th, 20th and 21st.
It snowed in early September so the road was the worst on September 13th as we made our way up through snow and eventually had to stop to hike all the way to the snowpack.

At the top of Breck, rails are left and set up for others to enjoy. Each time you come up, you just have to bring a shovel and make the features your own whether it's fixing a job, moving rails or placing the barrel in the right spot.

It doesn't matter whether your a skier or a snowboarder...to each his/her own . We each have tricks to master and pushing ourselves to get them done.

The weekend of September 20th and 21st brought some rain and winds to Breck but the snowpack still stuck around. It was my first weekend to actually get on snow and make some turns before taking photos of everyone jibbing.

There is still snow up there with rails set up for people to enjoy. The drive requires high clearance and 4wd is nice.
Soon it'll be winter in Colorado and that set up will be covered up waiting for powder turns through the winter and next summer...hopefully more on-snow time.
