Seth Huot's Full Audio Interview By Jeremy Jones

seth_huot_audio.jpg Seth Huot is a great rider, but for some reason he never really got his fair shake at being a star. Seth’s early video parts showcased his talent on rails, but they came out at the same time JP Walker was changing the whole rail game. Maybe Seth got left behind because he was just coming up, and his closest friends in the industry, Walker and Jeremy Jones, had already made names for themselves. Was he living in the shadow of his friends? A shadow that was a bit too big for Seth to stand out from. Maybe he was just letting his riding do the talking.

Over the years I have seen guys with nowhere near the talent or style of Seth get a bigger name in the sport more quickly. Many of these guys have been flashes in the pan, and most of them aren’t involved in snowboarding anymore, at least not at a high level. Having just put out his tenth video part, Seth has proved that he has the staying power and skills to remain in the game and, arguably, to play it at the highest level possible. Whether or not he hovers in the shadows of bigger personalities, I think he’ll have a thing to or two to show us well into the future.
