So the snowboard movie premiere season is upon us. But something new this year took place in the world of movie premieres; something so big and so awesome that the only way to truly experience it is in person. Snowboard Film on the Rocks, which took place at the world famous Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison Colorado is what I’m talking about.

It was mentioned that professional snowboarder Pat Milbery, is to blame for the event. But, it took a lot of people to actually make the event happen and to make it the best snowboard movie premiere in the world! Pat and his crew made this happen by combining live music acts with three world premiere snowboard movies.

The music acts were awesome and got the crowd pumped for the movies. Bukue One, London Dungeon, Del the Funky Homosapien / Deltron 3030 and The Cool Kids were on hand to lay down the beats. Del the Funky Homosapien is no stranger to the snowboard scene, as he performed at a SIA party in January. It was good to see him again in Colorado and at another snowboard party.

The crowd was able to enjoy being the first in the world to see three new snowboard movies including: Made in America by Never Summer Industry, Right Brain / Left Brain by Think Thank, and The Storming by Standard Films. Each film was awesome and included some of the most technical riding seen recently. Each film out-did themselves from last year, which was amazing since last year’s films were already dope.

To top of the night there were a ton of pros that showed up for autographs and even more free swag was given away. It’s going to be hard to top this event, but the crew that put this on is very talented and will make sure that next year will be even better! Watch for Snowboard Film on the Rocks next year and make sure you are there for it.
