Voilé is back as the official splitboard for Tailgate Alaska 2014

Having sponsored the infamous Tailgate Alaska backcountry skiing and splitboarding event for the past two years, Salt Lake City manufacturer Voilé is back as the official splitboard for the 2014 event.

Tailgate Alaska, now entering its seventh year, has always been as much about backcountry safety as it is about riding big lines, making it the perfect match for Voilé, with its long history as a backcountry safety equipment manufacturer. Based in the Thompson Pass area, just outside Valdez, Alaska, Tailgate Alaska offers over 1.6 million skiable acres, tons of educational classes and activities, a beer garden, and many other backcountry-related activities. Billed as the largest backcountry winter sports gathering in America, Tailgate Alaska is every bit as epic as it proclaims.

A Voilé tech rep will be on hand at the event demoing their line of backcountry splitboards and skis to the hundreds of eager attendants, including the redesigned Artisan splitboard and the brand new V8 ski, 2014 editor’s choice at Backcountry Magazine.
