The JLA Project is proud to announce the date for the first annual JLA Banked Slalom to be held at Mammoth Mountain on February 23, 2013. This date marks the 10th anniversary of Jeff Anderson’s death and we couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate his life then a fun day of shredding with Jeff’s friends and family on the mountain he grew up on.

“I can’t believe it has been ten years. After Jeff died my biggest fear would be people would forget about him. It has been so comforting to have the support of all Jeff’s friends and the snowboard industry over these past ten years. This is a great way to remember a great friend and brother,” said Billy Anderson, Volcom VP of Snowboarding.

“Mammoth couldn’t be more excited to host the Volcom JLA Foundation’s 1st annual Banked Slalom. This foundation is so close to all of our hearts and Volcom has been a piece of the Mammoth community for many years. I grew up idolizing Jeffy as did most of the kids my age. To bring the event to Mammoth for the 10-year celebration of Jeff is next level. We look forward to putting on a great event for everyone,” said Michael Gregory, Director of Terrain Parks, Sponsorships, and Athletes.

At this point we have committed sponsorship from great partners including Volcom and Mammoth, with supporting sponsors Burton, Analog, Anon and Wave Rave and additional support from Capita, Union, Mosaic Management, Snowboard Mag, DVS, Snowboarder, Transworld Snowboarding, Coal, Neff, Quiksliver, DC, Roxy, Billabong, and Oakley.
