Detroit has had a rough go for the past couple of years. While it emerged from bankruptcy in December of 2014, the road to recovery for the Motor City is still long and unclear. For snowboarders, the urban vacancy from a steady depopulation of the city has created somewhat of a haven for those looking to film in the streets. That’s exactly why Skyler Gallardo, Ryland West, Jack Harris, and Matt Ruhle spent some time there last winter exploring what Detroit had to offer. It didn’t disappoint.

From Daniel Vega:

This February Skyler Gallardo, Nathan Vetter and I hopped into Ryland West’s Tundra and drove east from Reno with no solid plan, just a few tips from crews around the Midwest…We ended up in Detroit for five days.
