There is no lift ride more bittersweet than on Closing Day. To watch the snowpack melt away to corn and slush, knowing the fate of a great winter has finally arrived, is something that every snowboarding has wished to postpone at one point or another. But when the sun is out and the snow is soft, there are no moments to spare for somber reflection. It’s time to click those ratchets, pull from your spirit of choice and then get fucking rowdy on the mountain with your friends. Brolin Mawejje, Phil Hessler and Chase Josey took that approach to heart at Jackson Hole, where Closing Day is a celebration discussed for weeks after the lifts stop turning.

A big shout out to Ian Avery-Leaf, whose editing and song selection perfectly captured “the end of the season” feeling.
