X Games has done incredible work to distribute snowboarding culture to the masses, and hopefully attracted many people to try it for the first time. But for years all that was shown is your standard slopestyle, halfpipe and big air competition, which effectively alienated a large portion of riders that exist outside of the contest circuit. What Real Snow had done since its introduction is include those riders while exposing your average viewer to a side of snowboarding not shown in the mainstream media; street riding. While the features that Dan Brisse or Dylan Thompson are hitting may not be entirely accessible, what these videos do is show people that there is a whole realm of snowboarding outside of a jump line and stunt ditch.

Dan Brisse, Chris Grenier, Jeremy Jones, Dylan Thompson, and Sebastien Toutant busted their asses and risked their bodies to put together these short video parts for us to say “what the fuck,” replay tricks over and over, and vote for the riders who we think are pushing the envelope of street snowboarding. A month and a half of work went into filming these short clips.
