Don’t get me wrong, pow days are amazing. Actually they’re really, really amazing. But there’s just something about cruising park laps on a sunny day in the slushy spring snow. Maybe it’s because you’re with a big group of homies, or because you know there is probably going to be a parking lot commencing as soon as you get off hill. Either way, closing weekend at Boreal Mountain looked like it was on point. We’ll see you next season boys.

It was a season full of ups and downs that kept us on our feet. We all love sunny warm weather, but at the same time we all want stormy cold weather to improve the season. No body knew whether to be happy, sad, depressed or optimistic about the endlessly warm and sunny weather we experienced this winter.

Closing weekend, despite the lack of snow, was just what we expected it to be. Every boarder in the area showed up to get that last bit of Boreal goodness before they shut er down, and the fun odometer was peaking.
